In Memory of Myra: 1956-2014

The Masaya sign language congregation has taken some key losses in the last year. The latest blow to our congregation has been the loss of one of our deaf sisters, Myra, who died two days ago and was buried in the Masaya cemetery yesterday afternoon.

Our dear sister Myra has had many struggles to deal with in recent years. Her deteriorating health continually prevented her from doing as much as she wanted to do. To her delight, with the new booth arrangement, she'd been able to have a share in the ministry over the last few weeks.

Free Vaccinations, Anyone? Yes, Please!

Here's a little side benefit to living in a Central American country. Public healthcare is free. Things like vaccinations are done in campaigns and from door to door. Here's what happened when they came to our house.

The conversation went a little something like this:

"Buenas, we are providing vaccinations today, would you like to be vaccinated?"
