My Recommendation

Those of you who like to travel and like to try local wines will find this post to be right up your alley. This month wanting to try something new I stumbled upon this gem at the grocery store here in Granada.

It is mango wine made by women in Chinendega called Chinantlan. The next time you're in town pick up a bottle to have with dinner.

Lost Voice

I'm home sick today with no voz and muscle aches. Nothing worse than having a zillion things to do and not feeling quite up to anything.

I did manage to get to the grocery store. But a day normally spent in Masaya was traded for a day in bed. It happens. This is one of those normal things that befall us all that we rarely have time to write about.

For everything that I finish I have to take a nap. So it's been a pretty slow day and it's already five pm. Sometimes you gotta share the little things too. Off to nap again.

The Pioneers

In January we had our CO visit. It was nice to have this great couple visiting us from Costa Rica to offer encouragement. Two sick wives missing from this shot of our little group of hard workers. In general these are the folks I spend the majority of my time with and I love them like family.

Yeah it's dark out and I still have my sunglasses on my head...don't ask.

These Days

Here is a beautiful panoramic that Jamelia took from Catalina

Oh yeah we're cool with our sunglasses!

Quiet Moment

Sometimes you just have to take a day off. Here a couple of friends of mine in town from Managua for the day.

Granada is famous for it's colonial look and these horse drawn carriages. You can takes these out for an hour and tour Granada when you come to visit :)

My newest neighbor she's not yet two months old. Welcome to this crazy world princess Sharon!
